  • I took my 2 year old black lab Zeus and he had a blast! lost of other dogs roaming off leash and wanting to play. However I felt lost a few times and all the people I talked to to said they had no idea of the missile silo being here but I didnt believe them and kept on going….. and sure enough I found it! Definitely recommend this hike! lots of fun, great exercise and the view from the top of the missile silo is incredible!!

  • This one is the best for dogs and you get a great work out. It does get a little confusing but you did the right thing. Just keep going! LOL. Make sure you bring water for yourself and dog on this one, it can get hot. We love that Nike Missle Silo. People have no idea it is there! Thanks, Tony! 🙂

  • One of the premier hiking spots in Los Angeles. First did it in 1972 when I lived in upper Mandeville Cyn and have done it 100s of times since. When I first hiked it, there were actual buildings – barracks, offices, etc.. Now long gone. However this was only the radar tracking station for air defense missles which were kept in silos down in the SFV and other areas around L.A.. The tall structure is the base for the radar dome. Whatever you hear — it’s an excellent hike with or without dog. See you on trail.
